@Pat: Thank you! Plus, when you are passionate for what you do....working hard can actually become a "rush" for you...hard work becomes the excitement that pushes you to the next level of mastering what you love to do...which is great for the customer receiving what you offer most of the time. We are our first advertisers..before any money is spent on media advertising, we are our best promoters....and the best promoters communicate to their audience that their product/or service is the best thing that has happened since "sliced bread"..and for us to promote ourselves well, we got to communicate to our customers that our passion for what we do saturates our product or service.

@christi: You are exactly right about it being all about the passion for what you are doing being the thing that makes you stand out and utimately succeed.

If you have passion for what you do, the customers will come (along with advertising and PR, that is). As Ted Turner once said, "Early to bed, early to rise, work like hell and advertise."

I agree that when you are an entrepreneur, that comes with a whole set of new responsibilities. You do answer to the government and also have responsibilities towards your customers, and if you have employees, you have responsibilities to them too. To be honest, I became an entrepreneur so I can do what I am passionate about, create my own entity, and do it my way/or a way that is uniquely who I am..and greater freedom to have more money.

The position of entrepreneur is actually a leadership position, a creator position, and one that requires meeting the needs and requirements of so many people. In fact, when we say that word "leadership" or "leader", we understand that the word means "responsibilities" and often more and larger responsibilities....so "becoming a leader and creator" of whatever it is you are doing could be a substitute for the common reason of "being your own boss" whether you have one employee or 500 employees.

As far as getting rich, money comes more often when you are doing something that you are passionate about and have the skills/knowledge to do it. There are many reasons why customers buy things, but all of us desire to purchase items and services that quench our needs and desires......if the person you are buying from is passionate for providing that service or thing..and they have the knowledge to do it well...then, you are more likely to purchase from them. What they offer is more likely to be satisfying to you. How many of us have a favorite, maybe family-owned, restaurant where we know the people who work there and cook there, and they seem to love what they do....they treat their customers like family...call you by name...and seem to know how to put the right amount of butter in that peach cobbler that was made with a whole lot of "love"? A place like that is less likely to lose business. Customers aren't stupid, they know when they are being taken care of. When you are passionate for what you do....you have a strong desire to share that with your customers...and the customers notice that. Even if you mass produce something, your passion for what it is you are doing will be noticed and people will pay for that experience.

That is where the "world of entrepreneurship" becomes genuine and relatable to the customers.
